We have an opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable Laboratory Technician to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate sampling and testing of our products. You will display an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and a commitment to getting it right first time.Key accountabilities include:Conduct chemical and bacteriological analyses on in-line samples, finished products, and raw materials.Communicate test results promptly and accurately to internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.Deliver efficient and reliable testing services in accordance with approved laboratory methods.Maintain equipment calibration schedules and uphold housekeeping and safety standards consistently.Periodically review laboratory performance using defined metrics such as calibration accuracy, traceability, customer service, budget compliance, and continuous improvement actions.Perform environmental monitoring and sampling, manage laboratory consumables, and carry out additional duties as required.Benefits:Discounted Health InsuranceAccess to our internal Employee Assistance Program that offers free, private and confidential counselling for you and your householdIncreased wage rates each year due to our Enterprise Agreement Free milk each weekGreat workplace cultureAbout You The successful candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar is highly desirable.Previous experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operations is highly desirable. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).A working knowledge of HACCP and OH&S is desirable but not essential.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent attention to detail Ours is a STORY of a family business created by the Besnier Family in 1933 and is today the worlds’ No. 1 dairy company. About You

 The successful candidate will have: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
